Shops, warehouses, flex spaces, and storefronts are often used interchangeably across different companies. We like to differentiate them for clarity.

  • Shops/Warehouses: These two are the same product. A large space suited for small business operations and business inventory. These spaces can be used by anyone, and typically used by mechanics, carpenters, hobbyists, and more. These sometimes come with a private restroom or even a front office.

  • Storefronts: These spaces have glass industrial doors, and were designed for the small business owner in mind. Non-profits, small business owners, and many more benefit from these storefront spaces.

  • Flex Spaces: Flex space is a term used by the storage industry to describe the flexibility of their space. This applies for all shops and storefronts.

We definitely do not recommend using shop spaces for self-storage or vehicle storage, as they were not designed with this in mind. You may use a shop for business inventory, however. As they provide the adequate space.

Our shop leases are set at an annual rate. However, depending on the situation, our managers may be able to adjust the lease term. This is not guarenteed.

Sizes vary by location. Shop spaces can measure over 2,500 SqFt.

Customize every aspect of your shop space! Customize the insultation, interior, flooring, lighting, and exterior LED signage.

We offer multiple different types of vehicle storage to meet your needs.

  • Covered Canopy Spaces
  • Open Parking
  • Fully-Enclosed Storage Units

We do not recommend using vehicle storage solely for self-storage. You may combine the two. However, if you are just wanting to use self-storage, we have units tailored for this. We try to give each customer the best unit for their specific needs.

There are absolutely no limits to how many units you can rent at once!

You may store any vehicle, operational, or otherwise. From vintage town cars, to the most luxurious RV or boat.

Different vehicles and situations call for different types of vehicle storage. Here are our recommendations:

  • Covered Canopy: Perfect if you want protection from bad weather. These are most common, so we recommend storing small cars, trucks, RVs, food trucks, and boats.

  • Open Parking: These spots are great if you need quick vehicle storage in order to avoid city fines. For example, in Lubbock, TX, you cannot leave a large vehicle on the street. The best way to counter this is to rent an open parking space from Discount Storage.

  • Fully-Enclosed Vehicle Storage: Utilize the large, well-lit enclosed spaces to store some seriously large vehicles. These units were designed with RV & boat storage in mind. But can be utilized for any vehcile, vintage or new.

  • Deluxe Pull-Through Suites: These top-of-the-line vehicle storage units are in a class of their own. These extra large spaces have electricity plugins, lights, extra side door, and double roll-up garage doors. No more worrying about backing into a spot! These units are the number one choice for RV & boat storage.

You sure can! At Discount Storage, we allow for multiple payments up-front. We can certainly work out an amazing special depending how long you plan to stay, and if you pay those months up-front. This is actually a great way to get maximum savings!

If you rented a storage unit online after-hours, you will not have access until the following business day. This is to protect our managers and tenants. Every storage unit on property is pre-locked. In order to give you access, a manager will need to be on-site at the time of rental. If you are needing immediate access, we will do everything in our power to get you the unit as fast as possible. Check our business hours for more information.

Absolutely. By default, autopay is set to “enabled.” If you’d like to make any changes, please contact a manager, or change your account preferences online.

After any online rental, you will get a confirmation email, along with your gate code.

Gate codes will be formatted as such: 0000# 0000*

NOTE: For example, If your storage unit is numberd as 0012, you’d need to insert the 0s into your code.

Access hours are from 6:00 AM – 12:00 AM daily.

If you are having issues with the gate, there are typically two errors to look for:

  1. Incorrect unit number: Ensure you are typing the full unit number, 0s included.
  2. Double-punched a number: Depedning on the weather and heat conditions, the keypads will sometimes be more sensitive. Causing a double-punch on certain keys. Wobble from windy conditions can also cause you to accidentally press an additional number.

*If you still cannot access the gate, the manager can always force a refresh. This will refresh all codes in the system, forcing your code to refresh in real-time.
